The time has come, the walrus said

'to speak of many things...'

It's been a fabulous 11 days off work; 1 Royal wedding; friends announcing their engagement; my taking up swimming again and my first time trial to Cycle / Run / Swimming. Certainly no Chrissie Wellington (mega triathlon athlete. Brit too!) but it's a start and I now have 3 months until my first ever Triathlon Super Sprint. Let the fun begin.

Felt incrediably stiff this morning when I woke up and from there on in, took the day very easy. Bit of an internal battle to do (staying in bed most of the day was unheard of with my parents and that still resonates unless I have pneumonia or plague like symptons) but given the increased exercising, it is a common side effect of 'fatigued' muscles and if you are tired, best listen to your body.
Movies. Movies and er, more movies. Sigh!

And finally
Have drafted up an exericse routine as well for the next three months which will ensure work will take it's proper place in the scheme of things (not all consuming, ulcer inviting, frustration riddled effect it hasover the past year). All I need to do is to ensure it stays as a priority. Given it's my health - that would be a good argument to start with, si?

12 weeks starting now...

After two months of trial and error, as well as a cold, the time has finally come where everything is in place. The estate is done; my job is settling down; relationships are stable and Spring is finally here.
The goal is reach a sustainable fitness level by Nov 2011.
My first challenge is a triathlon in July.

Ouch! and er' ouch..

Week 1 - Activity levels goal achieved.
Managed to walk to work this morning, despite the torrential rain AND the aching ankle. Unsure if it was sheer determination or just bloody mindness but I did it. Did what I set out to do but need to re-align my targets a bit. Will endeavour to walk home as well from next week. Am tired but that's to be expected. Ironically - the idea of sharing space with flu-infected bods on the Underground, is what is inspiring me at the moment!!

Every journey starts with a single step

Back into the office after the Christmas break. Have an activity plan in place and for this week (which is blissfully short), I'll be walking in each day and partly walking home in the evenings.
Next week, we'll start mixing in a bit of cycling and walking.
The week after, some swimming (well, obviously not to work. There's no pier near Moorgate)

It's new dawn, it's a new day - and I'm feeling good!

Day 2 of the TriNewB House
The house mate has been resting due to having had a cold since Christmas Day. A chesty cough is never fun, especialy as breathing is a somewhat vital part of life. Still - the goal is set (Triathlon 30 July 2011) and the plan is in play.
Went for a walk today and did yoga this morning.
Tendons being stretched. Muscles being snapped. Fun!

Let the games begin...

No, not the London 2012 event rather something a little more closer to home. For the past five years I have had to deal with a lot of crap to put it simply! The time has come to prioritise, minimise and revitalise my outlook on Life. So, how to proceed.
I love to start at a point...and then in quick succession...through a process of relational thoughts, confine a key area of interest, with all its sub areas intact.
And it is because of this approach, I ended up signing up for my first official Triathlon in July 2011.

Yikes. So now what?!
